At-a-glance fitment comparison

The table is filtered to researched tyre sizes: 195/65 R15, 215/55 R16, 215/50 R17, 235/40 R18. Compare the listed size against the current tyre sidewall first, then check load/speed rating, season and run-flat notes. Products outside those researched sizes are deliberately excluded from this vehicle shortlist.

What the fitment research shows for a 2016 Ford Focus

This 2016 Ford Focus shortlist is built around exact researched sizes only: 195/65 R15, 215/55 R16, 215/50 R17 and 235/40 R18. Fitment can change with trim, wheel option and market, so the model year alone is not enough to choose safely. Treat this page as a compare-and-check shortlist, and confirm the current tyre sidewall or vehicle placard before ordering.

The main trade-offs in this shortlist

The visible shortlist spans £42.01 to £145.87, so value depends on more than the headline price. Hankook appears multiple times in the lower-price part of the list, Pirelli gives a higher-priced brand alternative, and Continental sits at the top end with the 235/40 R18 option. Because all visible products are summer tyres, the sensible comparison is exact size, season, current stock and delivery rather than any broad “best” claim.

How to choose the right tyre for your Focus

Start with the tyre sidewall on the car, then check the vehicle placard and match the size exactly before comparing anything else. If your current tyre shows 195/65 R15, 215/55 R16, 215/50 R17 or 235/40 R18, compare only the matching Tyres.net listing and confirm the load index and speed rating on the product page. Previous wheel changes can alter the correct size, so never assume every 2016 Ford Focus uses the same fitment.

Why the same 2016 Ford Focus can need different tyre sizes

A 2016 Ford Focus may wear different tyres depending on trim, wheel option and market, which is why this guide does not treat one size as universal. The researched sizes here are 195/65 R15, 215/55 R16, 215/50 R17 and 235/40 R18, and the 18-inch option should only be considered if the fitted wheel package confirms it. If the sidewall and placard do not match the shortlist, stop and verify before you order.

What to check after the size match

Once the size is right, compare the load index and speed rating on the listing against the current tyre, because a matching width and rim size alone is not enough. If your car currently runs run-flat tyres, check the markings carefully and do not assume a standard summer tyre is suitable without confirmation. The same caution applies to winter or EV suitability: if it is not stated in the evidence, it should be verified on the product page before buying.

How the summer tyre options differ in this shortlist

All visible options are summer tyres, so the useful comparison is between sizes, brands and price rather than season choice. The 195/65 R15 group gives the lowest-cost comparison point, with Hankook Kinergy Eco 2 K435 91T at £42.01-£80.06, Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 91H at £67.06-£73.70 and Pirelli Cinturato P1 91V at £69.68-£108.39. At the larger end, Continental EcoContact 7 S 235/40 R18 91W sits at £111.01-£145.87, so make sure the wheel package actually calls for that size before considering it.

Value and availability notes

A cheaper tyre is only good value if the size, load index, speed rating and season all line up with the car. This shortlist is useful because it lets you compare exact-fit Tyres.net options from three brands, but it is not a universal recommendation for every 2016 Ford Focus trim. Check the retailer for the latest price, stock and delivery terms before ordering, because availability can change quickly and some product pages were not fully accessible during checking.

Buying questions

Can a 2016 Ford Focus have different tyre sizes?

Yes. Trim, wheel option and market can all change the correct tyre size, so a 2016 Ford Focus should never be treated as one universal fitment. The researched sizes for this page are 195/65 R15, 215/55 R16, 215/50 R17 and 235/40 R18, and you should confirm the current sidewall or vehicle placard before ordering.

How do I check the exact tyre size on my Ford Focus before ordering?

Look at the tyre sidewall on the car first, then confirm the vehicle placard or handbook. Match the exact size, load index and speed rating to the listing, and only then compare price, stock and delivery. If the car has had wheel changes, do not rely on the model year alone.

Are these Tyres.net options all summer tyres?

Yes. The visible shortlist is summer-only, so these tyres should be compared within that season category rather than against winter or all-season options. That makes the list useful for drivers who already want a summer tyre and simply need the correct exact-size match at the right price.

Do I need to confirm stock and delivery before buying?

Yes, because stock and delivery can change quickly and some retailer product details were not fully accessible during checking. Always verify the live price, availability and delivery timing on the retailer page, especially when comparing closely priced 195/65 R15 options.
