At-a-glance fitment comparison

The table is filtered to researched tyre sizes: 205/65 R16, 215/55 R17, 215/50 R18, 225/40 R19. Compare the listed size against the current tyre sidewall first, then check load/speed rating, season and run-flat notes. Products outside those researched sizes are deliberately excluded from this vehicle shortlist.

What the fitment research shows

The researched tyre sizes for this 2022 Ford Puma guide are 205/65 R16, 215/55 R17, 215/50 R18 and 225/40 R19. Exact tyre size can vary by trim, wheel option and market, so the model year alone is not enough to confirm fitment. That is why this page only shows Tyres.net options that match those researched sizes exactly. Before ordering, check the current tyre sidewall or vehicle placard on your car, then use the retailer listing to confirm the latest price, stock, delivery cost and product specification.

How to compare the shortlist sensibly

Once the size is verified, compare the shortlist by price, brand, season and live availability. The visible examples run from about £100.01 for HANKOOK Ventus Prime 3 K125 215/55 R17 94V Summer up to £136.83 for Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 215/55 R17 94V Summer, with some product pages showing higher upper ranges. That makes the shortlist useful for comparing exact matches rather than chasing the cheapest ticket price alone. If two tyres both match your sidewall, the better buy is usually the one that fits your budget, season needs and delivery timing.

How to choose the right tyre for a 2022 Ford Puma

Start with the tyre fitted to the car now, then match width, profile and rim size against the retailer listing. For example, the shortlist includes HANKOOK Ventus Prime 3 K125 215/55 R17 94V Summer at £100.01-£120.41, HANKOOK Ventus Prime 4 K135 215/55 R17 94W Summer at £107.54-£117.82, Continental EcoContact 6 215/55 R17 94V Summer at £110.77-£176.09 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 215/55 R17 94W Summer at £107.79-£145.99. After that, check the load index and speed rating on the current sidewall and compare them with the product page, because the same tyre size can still appear in more than one rating combination. If your existing tyres are run-flat, confirm that the replacement is suitable for that setup rather than assuming any exact-size tyre will do. Only after those checks should you decide between summer, all-season or winter use, and you should always confirm the latest retailer stock and delivery details before ordering.

Why one model year can still show different tyre sizes

A 2022 Ford Puma can wear different tyre sizes because trim, wheel option and market can all affect the original equipment fitment. Previous wheel changes can also leave the car with a different tyre size from the one shown in the handbook. That is why this guide is built around the researched sizes only, not every size that might appear across the wider market. If the sidewall, placard and handbook disagree, use the car as fitted now as your starting point and ask a fitter to confirm the correct size before you order.

Load index, speed rating and run-flat checks

Exact size is only the first part of the decision. The shortlist includes 215/55 R17 examples such as Continental EcoContact 6 94V, HANKOOK Ventus Prime 3 K125 94V, HANKOOK Ventus Prime 4 K135 94W, Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 94V and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 94W, but you should still confirm the load index and speed rating on your current sidewall before buying. If your current tyre has run-flat marking, do not assume a standard tyre is interchangeable. When in doubt, match the placard exactly and double-check the retailer product page before checkout.

What the summer-only shortlist means for everyday driving

Every visible shortlist tyre here is a summer car tyre, so this page is most relevant to drivers who want an everyday road tyre for warmer months and normal UK commuting. Continental EcoContact 6 leans toward efficiency and comfort, while the HANKOOK Ventus Prime range and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 sit in a similar touring segment with different price and rating combinations. That makes the page useful for comparing brand familiarity, label details and budget, but it does not turn any one option into a universal answer for every weather pattern or driving style. Check stock, delivery cost and fitting options on the retailer page because live availability can change.

Value and availability notes

Value on this page comes from a correct exact-size match first and a sensible price second. The shortlist starts around £100.01 and reaches at least £136.83 in the visible examples, while some product pages show higher ranges up to £229.79, so comparing by exact size, rating and stock is more useful than comparing on headline price alone. Use the retailer listing to confirm the latest price, stock, delivery cost and product specifications before ordering. If two tyres both match your sidewall, the better value is usually the one that fits your season needs, brand comfort level and delivery timeline.

Buying questions

Can the same 2022 Ford Puma use different tyre sizes?

Yes. The researched sizes for this model year are 205/65 R16, 215/55 R17, 215/50 R18 and 225/40 R19, but trim, wheel option and market can change what is correct. Always confirm the current sidewall or vehicle placard before buying.

Where should I check the exact tyre size before ordering?

Check the tyre sidewall on the car first, then compare it with the vehicle placard and handbook. Match the full size plus the load index and speed rating, because a tyre can share the same size but still differ in rating or construction.

Why does the shortlist only show certain 2022 Ford Puma tyres?

This page only includes Tyres.net options that match the researched Ford Puma sizes exactly. The visible set is also narrow and summer-only, so it is better used as a careful comparison shortlist than as a full market view.

How important are load index and speed rating when comparing exact-match tyres?

They matter a lot. Even when the size is right, the load index and speed rating must still suit the car’s current fitment. Check the sidewall and the retailer listing together, especially if your existing tyres show a different code from the shortlist.

Should I treat summer tyres as the default choice here?

Only if they suit how you drive. The visible shortlist is summer-only, so it is geared toward everyday road use in milder conditions. If you drive in colder weather often, compare the season choice carefully before deciding.
