The table is filtered to researched tyre sizes: 225/45 R18, 255/40 R18, 225/40 R19, 255/35 R19. Compare the listed size against the current tyre sidewall first, then check load/speed rating, season and run-flat notes. Products outside those researched sizes are deliberately excluded from this vehicle shortlist.

The researched tyre sizes for this 2019 BMW 3 Series page are 225/45 R18, 255/40 R18, 225/40 R19 and 255/35 R19. Some 3 Series wheel packages use staggered front and rear sizes, so the front and rear sidewalls should be checked separately before ordering. Trim, wheel option, market and any previous wheel changes can alter the correct fitment, which is why the current tyre sidewall or vehicle placard is the final check before purchase. Only exact-size matches are included on this page, and all of the shortlisted tyres are summer tyres.
This is a compare-first shortlist, so the most important filter is exact size match. After that, shoppers can compare brand familiarity, price, stock and delivery, because those are the practical differences between the matching options. The supplied shortlist has no visible rating or review details, so there is no customer score to lean on here. With that in mind, the useful comparison is between Pirelli, Continental and MICHELIN summer tyres that match the researched BMW sizes, not between near sizes or alternatives.
Start with the size already shown on the tyre sidewall, then check the vehicle placard and match those details against the product listing. That matters even more if your BMW has staggered wheels, because front and rear sizes can differ and must be ordered by axle position. For example, the shortlist includes matching summer options such as Continental EcoContact 6 225/45 R18 from £123.68-£191.82, Pirelli Cinturato P7 (P7C2) 225/45 R18 from £126.11-£168.96, and MICHELIN Pilot Sport 4S 255/35 ZR19 from £172.30-£204.93. Once the size is confirmed, compare the load index and speed rating on the current tyre with the chosen product, then check whether the listing matches any run-flat marking already fitted to the car. If the car has had wheel changes in the past, do not rely on model year alone to decide the right tyre.
A 2019 BMW 3 Series can use different tyre sizes depending on trim, wheel option, market and earlier wheel changes. BMW wheel packages can include mixed front and rear fitments, which is why the researched sizes are shown as exact matches rather than as a single universal size for every car. The page therefore sticks to 225/45 R18, 255/40 R18, 225/40 R19 and 255/35 R19 only. If your current sidewall or placard does not match one of those sizes, pause and verify the correct fitment before ordering.
A tyre can look right on size alone and still be wrong for the car if the load index or speed rating does not line up with the vehicle’s current specification. That is why the product listing should be checked against the sidewall before checkout. If your BMW currently uses run-flat tyres, confirm that marking before buying a replacement, because this page does not assume run-flat compatibility for every option. The safest approach is to match the visible tyre specification already on the vehicle and then confirm the retailer listing still shows the same details.
All of the shortlisted tyres here are summer tyres, so this page is best used for drivers who want a summer-season comparison rather than a mixed-season guide. That keeps the decision focused on exact fitment, axle position and the current price rather than on winter or all-season claims. If you need a different seasonal setup, you would need to compare those options separately, because they are not part of this shortlist. Within this page, the useful comparison is the difference between matching summer tyres from Pirelli, Continental and MICHELIN.
Once fitment is confirmed, value comes down to the balance between price, availability and brand familiarity. The shortlist spans Pirelli, Continental and MICHELIN, with Continental appearing more than once and EcoContact 6 offering the widest variant coverage in the supplied set. The benchmark price range sits at £123.68-£172.30, although some individual items can run higher, so stock and delivery can change which option makes the most sense today. Check the latest retailer price, stock status and delivery terms before you order, especially if you need both front and rear tyres for a staggered setup.

Yes. The researched sizes on this page are 225/45 R18, 255/40 R18, 225/40 R19 and 255/35 R19, but trim, wheel package, market and previous wheel changes can alter the correct fitment. Always confirm the sidewall or placard on your own car before ordering.
No. Some 3 Series wheel packages use staggered fitments, so the front and rear tyres can be different sizes. Check each axle separately and match the current tyre sidewall and vehicle placard before you buy.
Very important. A tyre can be the right rim size but still be wrong if the load index, speed rating or run-flat marking does not match what the car currently needs. Compare the existing sidewall with the retailer listing and verify the latest product details before checkout.
Check the sidewall on the tyre already fitted to the car and then confirm the vehicle placard. Those are the most reliable checks on a 2019 BMW 3 Series, especially if the car has had wheel changes or uses different sizes front and rear.
They are all summer tyres. That makes this page a summer-tyre shortlist for exact-size matching, not a mixed-season comparison. If you need winter or all-season tyres, you should look at those categories separately.
