Quick verdict
The Bridgestone Turanza T005 215/40 R18 89Y Summer looks like a sensible shortlist for drivers who want a summer touring tyre in a confirmed published size, not a flashy spec headline. The starting price of £131.87 sits close to the wider comparable median, so it reads as competitive rather than a bargain leader. Check that the exact 215/40 R18 89Y size matches your car’s sidewall or placard before ordering, and confirm live stock, delivery and any extra construction detail on the retailer page.

What the product page evidence confirms
The retailer page had limited detail available during checking because it returned a blocking page, so there is no usable on-page product text to lean on. What is confirmed is the Bridgestone brand, Turanza T005 model, summer season, 215/40 R18 89Y size and a lack of meaningful visible review details. Because the live page was blocked, shoppers should verify current stock, delivery charge, final checkout price and whether any extras such as XL or run-flat status appear on the live listing.
What the wider evidence suggests
Bridgestone’s own size documentation includes Turanza T005 in 215/40 R18 89Y, which supports this being a real published size rather than a loose catalogue match. Independent listings also show the same size as a summer tyre, and broader expert-summary material for the Turanza T005 line points to respectable rolling resistance and good dry handling, but describes the model as balanced rather than class-leading. That is useful context, but it is still broader model-line evidence, so the exact 215/40 R18 89Y version should be verified against your car before purchase.
Buyer trade-offs to weigh
This tyre’s main trade-off is value versus certainty: the 215/40 R18 89Y Turanza T005 starts at £131.87, which is competitive, but the live listing has limited visible detail and no strong owner reviews. If you are comparing nearby options, look at whether a similar summer tyre in the same size gives you clearer stock information, a better fitment match, or extra construction detail such as XL or run-flat if your car needs it. Do not assume those details from the model name alone; confirm load index, speed rating and construction on the live retailer page before you buy.
Price and value benchmark
At £131.87, this tyre sits close to the broader comparable-product median of £129.26, so it is neither an obvious premium outlier nor a clear budget leader. There are 4 tracked variants for this product, and the tracked range runs from £131.87 to £145.34, which gives you some room to compare live options within the same model family. That variant breadth is better than the median peer count, but final value still depends on stock, delivery and whether the exact size fits your car.
How it compares with nearby alternatives
The key spec match here is the exact 215/40 R18 89Y summer format, so the first comparison point should be whether a nearby alternative keeps the same fitment while improving price or clarity. The Turanza T005 line also appears in sizes such as 225/40 R18 92Y, 225/45 R17 91W and 245/40 R19 94W, which shows the range is broad but not directly interchangeable with this car. Compare live listings by size, season, load and speed rating, then check current stock and delivery rather than relying on the model name alone.
Review details and confidence
The visible retailer review area is effectively empty, with rating_average 0 and review_count_max 0, so there is no meaningful owner-review evidence for this exact listing. Broader Turanza T005 reputation is mixed-to-positive, but that is not the same as proof for this precise 215/40 R18 89Y size. Treat the broader reputation as supporting context only, and lean more heavily on fitment, specification and live retailer detail when deciding.
Who this tyre suits
This Turanza T005 should suit shoppers who want a summer touring tyre from Bridgestone and are happy to verify the exact 215/40 R18 89Y match on their car first. It is a practical fit for everyday use where the buying priority is correct specification, sensible price and a known brand rather than a standout review count. If you are comparing several tyres with the same size, this one belongs on the shortlist as long as the live listing confirms the details you need.
Who should look elsewhere
Skip this listing if your car needs a different tyre size, a different season, or a construction type that the live page does not clearly confirm. It is also not the right pick if you want to buy purely on the strength of owner ratings, because the exact listing does not show a meaningful review details. Do not order until you have checked the car’s sidewall or placard and confirmed the live page says 215/40 R18 89Y.
Comfort, support and everyday use
For a summer touring tyre such as the Bridgestone Turanza T005 215/40 R18 89Y, the everyday questions are wet grip, fuel efficiency and road noise. The blocked retailer page meant those label details could not be verified here, so the safer reading is that this is a touring-focused summer tyre with broader expert-summary notes of respectable rolling resistance and good dry handling rather than a active comfort verdict. If refinement matters most, compare this exact size against other 215/40 R18 89Y summer tyres with clearer live label values.
Value check
Value depends on whether the current live price stays near £131.87 and whether delivery, stock and any fitting or fitting-related costs keep the final checkout amount sensible. Because the exact listing has thin review evidence and the retailer page was blocked, the safest approach is to compare a few nearby summer tyres in the same size before buying. If another tyre in 215/40 R18 89Y shows clearer specification detail at a similar price, that may be the better everyday-value choice.

Questions about this tyre
How do I know if 215/40 R18 89Y is the right fit for my car?
Check the size printed on your current tyre sidewall or on the vehicle placard, then match it exactly to 215/40 R18 89Y. Do not rely on the Turanza T005 model name alone, because fitment is about the full size and rating, not just the brand.
Is the Bridgestone Turanza T005 a summer tyre, and what does that mean?
Yes, this listing is for a summer tyre. That means it is aimed at warm-weather use and touring-style everyday driving, so it should be compared with other summer options rather than winter or all-season tyres if your car’s needs are specific.
Does the lack of ratings mean this is a bad buy?
No, but it does mean you should not treat the listing as strongly reviewed. The exact page shows no meaningful owner-review count, so fitment, price, live stock and the exact size match matter more than a missing rating here.
What should I verify before ordering this tyre?
Confirm the exact size, any extra construction details such as XL or run-flat if they matter to your car, the live stock status, delivery charge and final checkout price. It is also worth comparing one or two nearby summer alternatives in the same size before you decide.
